Traveling does not have to mean neglecting beard care. With proper preparation, you can keep your beard in perfect condition even on vacation.

Preparation before departure

• Visit the barber: Groom your beard 3-5 days before departure
• Travel size products: Prepare miniature versions of your favorite products
• Backup plan: Find out what you'll get at your destination

Travel essentials:

• Beard oil: 30ml bottle (for hand luggage)
• Small comb: Foldable version
• Travel trimmer: Compact, rechargeable
• Mini beard shampoo: Or use regular shampoo

Care in different climates

Tropical/humid climate

• Beard sweats more - wash more often
• Use lighter oils
• Check contours (faster growth in heat)

Dry/hot climate

• Extra hydration with oil
• Protect beard from the sun (oil with UV protection)
• Drink plenty of water

Cold climate

• Rich balms instead of light oils
• Protect beard from freezing
• Beware of drying with heating

Care by the sea

• Salt water: Dries - rinse after bathing
• After swimming: Apply oil to rehydrate
• Sun: UV damages hair too

Pool care

• Chlorine: Very drying
• Before swimming: Apply oil as a protective layer
• After swimming: Rinse thoroughly and apply oil

Airport security

For carry-on:

• Liquids max 100ml in clear bag
• Trimmer – usually allowed, check airline rules
• Beard scissors - shorter than 6cm usually allowed
