Mid fade: what it looks like and how it differs from low and high

A mid fade places a gradual transition around the middle of the sides, between a low fade and a high fade. The name describes its approximate position. It does not determine the length on top or require the shortest section to be shaved to skin.

How it compares with low and high fades

A low fade keeps more length on the sides above a low transition. A high fade takes the short area further up. A mid fade sits between them, but there is no single measurement that fits every head. Look at both side and back views to understand how the transition connects around the neckline.
