Causes of dry hair
Dry hair can be caused by a number of factors:
- Frequent washing – removes natural oils
- Hot water – dries hair and skin
- Aggressive shampoos – sulfates and strong detergents
- Frequent blow-drying – hot air damages the hair structure
- Sunlight – UV rays dry hair
- Air conditioning and heating – dry air in interiors
- Lack of hydration – not enough water in the body
- Poor diet – lack of healthy fats and vitamins
How to recognize dry hair
Dry hair manifests itself:
- Dull, dull appearance
- Thick, rough texture
- Shattered ends
- Bragility and falling out
- Static electricity
- Itchy scalp
Solutions for dry hair
Change washing
Wash your hair less often - 2-3 times a week is enough for most men. Use lukewarm water instead of hot and choose sulfate-free shampoos with moisturizing ingredients.
Conditioner is a must
Many men skip the conditioner – mistake! Conditioner is essential for dry hair. Apply from mid-length to ends and leave on for 2-3 minutes.
Deep care
Once a week, use a moisturizing mask or oil (argan, coconut). Apply to hair, wrap in a towel and leave for 20-30 minutes before washing.
Heat protection
If you use a hair dryer, apply a thermo-protective spray first. Blow dry at a medium temperature and keep a distance of at least 15 cm from the hair.
Nutrition for healthy hair
Include in your diet:
- Omega-3 fatty acids (fish, nuts, flaxseed)
- Biotin (eggs, avocado, almonds)
- Vitamin E (olive oil, sunflower seeds)
