Christmas Beard: Styling for the Holidays7 BARBER / PLZEŇ

Christmas is a time for family gatherings, company parties and festive occasions. Your beard should be in the best shape – groomed, smelling good and ready for all those photos under the tree.

Preparation before the holidays

A week before: Visit the barber for a professional trim. Get your contours trimmed and cleaned. It is better to go earlier so that the beard „sets“ and you have time for possible corrections.

Daily before Christmas: More intensive care – oil, balm, brushing. Christmas is festive, the beard should be festive too.

Styling for different occasions

Christmas dinner: A neat, clean beard. Contours perfect, no naughty hairs. A gentle scent (you don't want to spoil anyone's appetite). Corporate party: Professional look – maybe more conservative than usual. New Year's Eve party: You can afford a bit more daring styling – like mustache wax for extra shape.

Perfuming the beard

Christmas occasions call for more pleasant scents. Beard oils with Christmas aromas (cinnamon, orange, cedar, vanilla) add a festive touch. Apply sparingly – you want to smell nice, not wash over the whole room.

Protection against the cold

December can be cruel to the beard. Frost dries, wind makes it frizzy. Use a balm with a protective function. Before going out, apply a thin layer of balm or wax to create a barrier.

Photo preparation

Christmas = lots of photos. Before taking photos: Brush your beard, check for symmetry, remove any crumbs (of Christmas candy). A matte finish looks better in photos than a beard that is too shiny.

Santa beard?

If you have a full white or gray beard and are having fun with costumes, why not? A Christmas beard can be themed – with a red bow or small ornaments (for the brave) for example. But most importantly: be comfortable and have fun.

After the holidays

After demanding days full of food, alcohol and staying up all night, your beard may need extra care. Deep washing, intensive hydration and possibly a visit to the barber in the new year for a restart.
