Business/Formal
Corporate events, business meetings, important meetings require a conservative, well-groomed look. Choose classic cuts: side part, slick back, crew cut. Styling should be controlled – no messy look. Beard, if yes, then perfectly groomed.
Products: Pomade for shine and control, or matte paste for a more modern look.
Business Casual
Everyday office with a more relaxed dress code. More flexibility – you can afford texture and a more natural look. A textured crop, quiff, or slightly tousled side part works well.
Beards are usually acceptable as long as they are neat and tidy.
Casual/Smart Casual
Weekend events, casual gatherings, restaurants. Almost complete freedom – you can experiment with messy hair, bolder styles, but you should still look neat. Negligence is not casual.
Formal evening events (Black Tie)
Balls, galas, weddings require maximum elegance. Classic slick back or side part with high gloss. Hair should be perfectly in place all evening – use a quality pomade with good hold.
Beard: Ideally clean shaven or a perfectly shaped short beard.
Wedding (as a guest)
Depends on the style of the wedding. Formal wedding = formal hairstyle. A country/boho wedding allows more natural styling. But always edited – it's a special host day.
Job interview
Special categories – go more conservative than normal in the industry. Better to look too dressed up than too casual. The first impression is decisive.
Sport and fitness
Practicality over style. Short haircuts, tied hair, headbands. Anything that does not interfere with activity and dries quickly.
Cultural events (theatre, opera, gallery)
Traditionally more elegant than normal casual. It doesn't have to be black tie, but a tailored look is expected. Avoid extreme styles.
Universal rule
When in doubt: better overdressed than underdressed. And always: clean, well-groomed hair is essential, regardless of the occasion. A sloppy look is never an appropriate dress code.
